Corbets Brother Frank Peacock was shot on March 4 1880 near Fort Fettermen in Converse Wyoming. The man who shot him was Robert Wilson. No record of why nor if Wilson was punished.
There were 4 children. Frank Peacock was my grandfather and the son of Corbet Alfred Peacock. Corbet came to the USA in ~1879 with his older brother Francis (Frank) and took the Bozeman trail to Wyoming. Frank lived on the Peacock ranch 1-2 miles north of Fort Fetterman. Rough country at this time. Frank was shot and killed in 1880. My grandfather was named after Corbet's brother Frank or Corbet's father William Francis Peacock. After Frank's death Corbet worked in Denver as a teamster and eventually ended up in Australia and Hawaii.
276 He and Corbet Alfred Peacock immigrated circa 1879 to America; (Family tradition says that Frank and Corbet immigrated together, crossing the Atlantic, then America, together until Frank's death.)
