It does appear that Samuel Prinz Prince, unless his sons were lying,
did come over to USA and then return. He possibly did have forged papers
as many did have in those days. I could not find the second passage to this
country in 1877---passport says the boat left from Kepno, Wlkp., Poland (the Silas
Grunen), but Kepno, Wlkp., Poland is far inland.
If Samuel was indeed naturalized but returned to Poland to marry and live, it is not surprising since Civil War recruitment was taking place at that time.
