o I got in touch with other homonyms and got a prompt answer from Prof. Raymond Kaempfer from Jerusalem, whose father Heinz ( 1904-1986) was also born in Poznan. However, no common ancestor has been found for his and my Poznan ancestors. Above all, our relationship with Georg remains unclear.

The commemorative book gives only sparse information: Born on December 29, 1883 in Poznan, Georg moved to Saarbrucken for unknown reasons and at an undetermined date, where he and his wife Herta (2) established themselves as merchants (3) until the Family on September 28, 1939 - one month after the attack on Poland - voluntarily or forcibly moved to Halle (4), From there were Georg, Herta, and the daughters Evelyne and Marion (5) Removed on June 1, 1942 with a train coming from Kassel and apparently murdered on arrival in the death camp after a two-day trip via Lublin. A third daughter - Inge - was able to flee to Palestine in time. The memorial book also names the names of Georg's parents: their names were Yitzchak and Sara (6).
