Notities over DUNCAN Henderson

Our two kits--siblings Carol and Andrew T058282 Z431750 come from Tobermory ( before at Treshnish), Mull. (also Cornwall and before that Devon, UK and before that Saxon).
Archibald HENDERSON b. 1838 moved to New Zealand (siblings Alexander, Janet, Catherine, Margaret, John, Donald) . His mother was Mary McKinnon b. 1804 Ardnamurchan. We think Archibald's father John" parents were Duncan Henderson b. ~1770 or John Henderson 1734 and Janet Campbell.
We have looked at the records in that little museum on the main street of Tobermory but can get no further. In Tobermory we met a Henderson who said there were two families of Henderson and her's was not ours. Our Hendersons were from the tiny hamlet of Tresnish before moving to the big city of Tobermory.
Any help gratefully accepted.
