Mrr and Mrs. Joseph Fort Adams of Bogalusa, La., announce the engagementand approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Joyce Lucile Adams, to Mrr Charles Joseph Kottwitz, son of Mrr Robert A. Kottwitz of New Orleans and the late Mrs. Kottwitz. Miss Adams, whose mother is the former Miss Lorena Adams, has been residing in New Orleans for the past several years. Mrr Kottwitz attended Tulane university. The wedding has been set for Saturday, March 4, and will take place in Bogalusa.

Funeral services for Charles J. Kottwitz, 63, will be conducted at 9:30a.m. Wednesday at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Inc., 4127 S. Claiborne Ave, with Rabbi Lawrence M. Colton, of Touro Synagogue, officiating. The body then will be taken to Bogalusa, where services will be held at Poole Funeral Home, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by interment in Adams Cemetery. Mrr Kottwitz, a pioneer in the frozen food industry, died Monday afternoon at Southern Baptist Hospital after a long illness.A New Orleans native, Mrr Kottwitz was educated in public schools and attended Tulane University, where he was active in athletics.
He was manager of the baseball team, a member of the T Club, and Zeta Beta Tau fraternity.Mrr Kottwitz owned and operated the Charles Orange Juice Co., one of the first to process and home-deliver fresh orange juice.He operated New Orleans Frosted Foods Co. until his retirement several years ago.Mrr Kottwitz is survived by his widow, the former Lucile Adams.On 4 Mar 1951 when Charles J. was 43, he married Joyce Lucile Jimmie ADAMS, daughter of Joseph Fort ADAMS & Lorena Anice ADAMS, in Bogalusa, Washington, Louisiana.
