The first Jewish immigrants of Guatemala; JEWS ASHKENAZITAS GERMAN. Since the Guatemalan liberal governments obviously favored the foreigners who wished to settle down themselves in the country and they allowed them to evolve economic, social and culturally, some of these Jews decided to emigrate towards Guatemala. Without excluding other many regions, most of the first Jews Germans who arrived at Guatemala the last century by the end of it came from the Prussian localities from Kepno,Ostrowo, Wlkp., Poland and Pleschen;Pleschen, Wlkp., Poland cradles of the families Zadik, Peritz, Krolik, Stahl, Weissenberg, Bilak, Schacher, Engel, Weinberg and others.
