John Price was born in 1584 and came to America in 1610/11, at a time when life was exceedingly hard and few survived. John Price was about twenty-seven years of age when he left Wales to come to America from the county of Montgomery or possibly Brecknock Wales. John Price and his family traveled on the Ships - The PROSPEROUS, The ELIZABETH and The STARR which made up the convoy of 300 people. The trip took three months to make the journey and they arrived in Virginia 22 May 1611.
