Note from the EGS website: The Chance family lived in Georgia when the children were young. Susana said they lived near Hinson or Henson, Ga., and a cousin, Bill Edwards lived there. She said that they visited an Uncle Henry Edwards in Coffee., Ga. The relationship of the two Edwards families is not known.

Mr. Charles Felton Chance,80, Winter Garden resident for the past four months, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William M. Butler, Winter Garden, after a long illness. Mr. Chance was a native of Pelham, Georgia. He moved to Winter Garden from Altoona which he had been a member of Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his daughter survivors include two sons, John, Coolidge, Georgia and William, Howie- in- the- Hills; four other daughters, Mrs. Floyd W. Pense, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Susana W. Parrish, Eaton Park, Mrs. Nolan L. Drawdy, New Smyrna Beach, Mrs. Frances B. Murphy, Coolidge, Georgia; 12 grandsons,12 granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren. W. Guy Black Home for Funerals in charge of arrangements.
