RLCntrates on the descendants of Richard Gaines of old Rappahannock County, VA, who was my direct ancestor. Richard was reportedly the son of James Gaines whose parents, allegedly, were Thomas Games (the immigrant ancestor) and Blanche Kemis.e.ose of "my" Richard, not your Richard of Middlesex.d Gaines and wife Dorrity (Dorothy)....a son, William Gaines, Born 3/3/1737-38." Heirome (Hiram) Gaines (married to Ann Taliaferro) is also said to have been your Richard's son.n be frustrating because so many of them who had the same given names were of the same generation and lived in the same general areas. It takes a great deal of effort and research to get them sorted out. I'm comfortable with my data on Richard of Rappahannock, but can't vouch for the accuracy of the research done on your line.
