Chellaston is a suburb of the City of Derby, which is in the East Midlands in England in the United Kingdom. It is on a natural hill, and has recently expanded due to several new housing estates. The suburb lies about five miles south of Derby city centre, and is the southern-most part of the city. It borders Shelton Lock to the north and South Derbyshire to the south.
