Jun 1893Emmigrated to US with parents & 3 sisters on
SS Hekla from Olso, Norway

Mar 12,1896Miss Anna Erickson on the 4th inst. Departed for Davenport
where she will stay ,probably during the next summer.
July 16,1896On the 11th inst. Carl Nelson from Viking had a runaway with
his horses and buggy. Carl was thrown out and the tongue
broken from the buggy, but Carl kept hold of the lines and had
a ride in the grass with the buggy on top of his head.
Fortunately Lars Sieverson came on the road and got hold of
the horses. We rather suspect that this was a new
adventure with Mr. Nelson.
Apr 1,1897On the 24th a grand dance was held at your correspondents
place, given by misses Anna and Josephine Haraldson who
who departed for Fargo on the 26th where they will stay
during the summer season.
July 9,1897Rudolph Brimmon and Carl Nilsen spent the 4th with some
of their best friends in Fargo this year.
May 12,1898Miss Hilda Erickson who has for the last 2 years been staying with her
staying with her uncle and aunt in LaMoure County,
returned Thursday of last week.
Her sister Anna left a few days later for Kindred where
she will work during the summer months.
Aug 4,1898Carl T. Nilsen spent Saturday with friends in Kindred.
Nov 3,1898Carl T. Nilsen has purchased O. Magentun's farm in the
West End Township and has been making some necessary
improvements on it for the coming winter. Coming events
cat their shadows before them.
Nov 11,1898There is going to be a big wedding Sunday. Carl F. Nelson
and Annie Ericksen are going to join in matrimony. Cupids
darts have long ago been thrown.

Nov 25,1898The wedding of Carl Nelson and Anna Erickson was a great
event on Silver Prairie, Sunday, The house was crowded with
guests. The contracting parties were united in matrimony by
Rev. Ingerholm and many were the nice and costly presents
received by the happy pair. Messrs. Herbrandsen and
Dahler of Norman were present.
Apr 20,1899Carl T. Nelson lost his barn, oats and hay by prairie fire last
Monday.
