JoAnn writes, "I have Thomas Hill - Mary Ann Cullen's marriage lisence in my posession - It reads,
"Page 478 Marriage Solemnized in the Parish of St. James, Clerkenwell, in the county of Middlesex 1836. Thomas Hill of this Parish a bachelor and Mary Ann Cullen of this Parish a spinster were Married in this Church by Banns with Consent of [left blank] this Twenty Second Day of February in the Year One Thousand eight Hundred and Thirty Six by me Francis Dollmarn Curate This Marriage was Solemnized between us Thomas Hill Mary Ann Cullen In the Presence of Elizabeth Sills[or Silh] Wm Webb No. 1433. The above is a Copy of the Marriage Register of the Parish aforesaid W Webb Clerk [or Webb Clark]"
Writing is beautiful but not always ledgible - I fear it is too old to copy. it does not have their ages - however ..."
A gazetteer writes Clerkenwell, Middlesex is a district in Finsbury, London, England North of the Thames 1 1/2 mi NE of Charing Cross. The well in the name relates to a well at which parish clerics performed religious plays.

JoAnn writes, "He (Thomas) was caught, he and two other persons, tresspassing in the day time on the property of Sir Robert Sonirkc Baronet in search of Conie's (some form of bird?) with out the consent of the owner. A David Gavin turned him in. This took place in Middlesex, Parish Bushey County Hertford. This happened Dec. 27, 1846.
He had to forfeit around Two lbs. & personally appear Wed/ Jan. next at Eleven. 1947 [1847]. (Poor man, caught two days after Christmas. Hope he could afford the 2 Pounds. Poor Mary Ann. (I also have this document)."

Justices of the Peace ... County of Middlesex by James Eby [or Eley or Elery] of Great Stanmore ... Middlesex that you the said Thomas Hill with two other persons to that Informant unknown did, ... on the 27th Day of December ...[1846] in the Parish of Little Stanmore ...Middlesex ... unlawfully commit ... Trespass, by being ... upon a certain close of Land ... of Sir Robert Scnerke [?] Baronet there, in search of Conies, ... you ... Thomas Hill ... whereby and by force of the said Statute you have forfeited ... not exceeding Two Pounds ... on the 20th Day of December ... at Edgmore ... Middlesex ... the Charge ... was duly deposed to be me Thomas Carter Esquire ... Middlesex upon the Oath of David Gavin of Great Stanmore ...MIddlesex ... These are therefore to personally to be and appear before me or some other of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace in ... Middlesex at the Crane Inn at Edgmore on Wednesday the 5th Day of January now next at the Hour of Eleven in the fore noon ... Given this 30th Day of December ...
