'I've used the information that Betty McDonald sent me on the McDonald family and come up with a variation on the wives of John McDonald. He was first cousin to my 3rd great-grandfather and his brother James married my 3rdgreat-grandfather's sister, as well, so there is a lot of intermarrying.

John McDonald, b. 1827, to John and Mary (Robinett) McDonald, d. between 1 Jan 1897 and 18 Feb 1897 (most likely late Jan and probably buried in Eddy Cem, Troy Twp, De Kalb Co. The McDonalds came to Troy Twp, De Kalb Co in the late1840s.
