BLIZZARD, WILLIAM. Born 1730 in Baltimore County. Married Lururah _____ (1735, France - 1816, Baltimore County) on May 19, 1751 at Fort Garrison in Baltimore County. Died in March, 1810, with burial in the Blizzard Family Cemetery atWoodensburg, Baltimore County, MD. A son, William (1774-1816) married Ruth TAYLOR (1779-1814) on May 19,1891) married John O'K BLIZZARD (1807-1850, California) on November 21, 1828 in Baltimore County, MD. William Blizzard took the Oathof Allegiance, 1778, before Hon. James Calhoun. (A-1/2, A-2/42, AAA-2792, AAA-1840)'

'Only eighteen years before in 1760 William Blizard brought his family to this land and set out a farm of 586 acres around this very spot, one of the earliest to make a permanent home in this part of the colony. With his wife, Lurenah,he found the strength of God at St. Thomas's, Garrison Forrest, some fourteen miles away. There their children were baptized but it was here that many of them were laid to their final rest.'
