Elizabeth Greenway - b. England, 5th child of John & Mary Greenway, was baptized at Mildenhall, Wiltshire, 2 February 1608/9. She married John Allen. In 1634 he helped build a house on the" Rocke" There was a John Allen in Dorchester in 1632, who kept a tavern and he was punished for drunkeness of those to whom he served. According to Elizabeth's father's will in 1652, she had children but they have not been found in the records. The husband may have been William Allen of Manchester, who by 1634 had a second wife, Elizabeth. (Source: Anderson's Great Migration Begins - online)."
She was living as late as 26 June 1679 when she was the widow Allen granted land at Manchester on 2 April 1685.
