Disputed Origins
The wife of Thomas Dibble's origins are unknown.[1]

Was she related to Matthew Grant, recorder for the town of Windsor?
Thomas Dibble witnessed Matthew Grant's will and along with the other witness John Loomys, inventoried his estate.[2] They lived next door to each other.[1]
There is also the following from Matthew's records:

Sistr Deble
In the case of Sisters Deble and Fyler, this would be Christian sisters, not necessarily a blood sister.

She has been disconnected from parentage John Grant and Alice Turberville

There has been speculation that she was related to Thomas Ford.
Because Thomas had daughters Hepsibah, Joanna and Miriam, as did the Dibbles?

The wife of Thomas Dibble was not named Francis. Francis was his sister, who immigrated to New England with him.

Bound for New England from Waymouth (Weymouth) 20 March 1635.[3]
Thomas Dible, husbandman, aged 22 years.
Francis Dible, soror, aged 24 years.
Soror is latin for sister.
Given name?
Stiles' Gen. of Windsor gives her no first name.[1]
Matthew Grant's Record calls her wife.[4]
Anderson calls her Miriam, but does not cite a source.[5]
Birth and Baptismal records of the Dibble children only name Thomas.[6]
Is there a record with her given name?

Note: Lamb gave the following information on Thomas Sr. Thomas Deble, son of Robert of Dorchester was born circa 1613 and died on October 17, 1700, Windsor, Connecticut. He married (1) Mary or Miriam who died on May 14, 1681, Windsor, Connecticut.
