Bonnie Heetland
Bonnie Ethel Whitmore was born January 28, 1893 at Red Oak, the daughter of Ed and Donna Whitmore. She grew up near Chapin and attended school at Edgewood in Iowa Falls. She taught school near Chapin. On December 25, 1914, Bonnie was married to Herman Heetland. They spent their married life in the Ackley area.
Survivors included four children, Edward of Waterloo, Mrs. Phyllis Sawdon of Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Gloy (Maurine) Lindaman of Iowa Falls and Herman H. Heetland of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman on December 12, 1983; one son, Ronald, and two daughters, Kathryan and Julanne.
