"... Heiko died in Melvin, Illinois on 14 March 1885. His wife then moved to Iowa to live with a daughter and died there on 17 June 1888. She is buried there and can be found through FindAGrave. I have not found Heiko's grave, however. It is not in the Melvin, IL cemetery. You will see that there is a Melvin, IL and a Melvin, Iowa. Many families from Illinois made their way to NW Iowa and the town there was named after their 'hometown' of Melvin, IL. ..."
