"Stena Jutting, 90
Funeral services for Siena Jutting, 90. of Humboldt. formerly of Buffalo Center, were held Monday, April 12, 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church with Rev. Dennis Redckcr of Ramsey Reformed Church, rural' Titonka, officiating. Intermentwas at Ramsey Reformed Church Cemetery, rural Titonka, with Winter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Music was provided by Marlene Krull and the congregation sang some hymns. Casketbearers were Randy Jutting, Eileen Jutting, Sheri Toomb, Juern Akkerman, Juern T. Akkerman, Steven Boomgardcn and Dennis Kearney.
Siena Jutting was born December 20. 1908, near Titonka, daughter of Aggo and Stcna (Spear) Janssen. On January 1. 1929 she was united in marriage to Boyd S. Tiedens. To this union were born four children: Margaret, Stella, David and Ruth. Boyd passed away on October 6, 1940.
On February 12, 1942, she was married to George Jutting at Buffalo Center. Two children were born to this union: Roger and Gerald. George died on March 20, 1980.
Siena and George moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1965. Stena was a nurse and had a wonderful gift of compassion towards people in need of care. She opened a nursing home in her home in Buffalo Center before Timely Mission was establishedand provided wonderful care and companionship for many elderly people and tlieir families. She continued that role in Phoenix and uguin cared for many people, most of whom became her close personal friends."

"Her home was also open to neighborhood kids in need of a place after school and she always had a smile, a place, and a treat for them. She was devout in her Christian faith and attended and fully supported her church and other religiousorganizations. Her home always served as a collection point for clothing and other goods for missionaries which she always faithfully cleaned, sorted, repaired, and mailed to those in need. She will be missed by many people in additionto her family and we rest assured that, "great her reward will be in heaven".
Stena was a member of First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center until her move to Arizona where she was an active member of the Evangelical Church in Phoenix, Arizona.
Stena passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 1999 at Humboldt Care Center, North in Huraboldt.
She is survived by her children: Margaret Irons of Overgaard, Arizona; Stella Boomgard of Badger; David Tiedens of Overgaard, Arizona; Ruth Akkerman of Show Low, Arizona; Roger Jutting of Tempo, Arizona; Gerald Jutting of Nampa, Idaho;and one stepson, Howard Jutting of Kanawha. In addition, she leaves 27 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Robert Janssen of Buffalo Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, five brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter and one great-grandson." <>
