Funeral services for Besie Bernice Tapper, 65, of Buffalo Center were held Monday morning, July 30, at 10:30 a.m. in Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka with Rev. John Janssen officiating. Mrs. Tapper passed away at North Iowa MedicalCenter on July 26, 1979.
Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements and interment was in Ramsey Reformed Cemetery. Mrs. Richard Beenken was organist and singers were Mrs. Alfred Baade, Mrs. Vern Rafdal, Mrs. Albert Sleper and Mrs. Roger Wubben.Pallbearers were Wilbert Meinders, Alvin Meinders, Jim Meinders, Clarence Penning, Roy Hinz and Harold Risius.
Bessie was a member of the Ramsey Reformed Church and belonged to the Women's Guild. She had taught Sunday School and Bible School at the Ramsey Reformed Church for many years.
Bessie Bernice (Abbas) Tapper was born August 17, 1913 at Lakota. She was united in marrriage to Walter Tapper on December 31, 1935. They lived in the Buffalo Center area all their married life, retiring to a home in Buffalo Center inApril, 1974.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hikke Abbas, and her brother, Peter Abbas.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Walter; three sons, Kenneth, Larry and Bruce; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Geiken and Mrs. John (Ardis) Lande, and eighteen grandchildren; one brother, Richard Abbas; three sisters, Mrs. Wilbur(Marie) Bacon, Mrs. Arlo (Anna Mae) Krumwiede, and Mrs. Lyle (Inez) Krumwiede, and many other relatives and friends." <>
