Funeral rites will be held at the Lennox funeral parlor Friday at 1 PM for Mrs. Ella Akkerman, 80, who died here Tuesday at the home of her daughter. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery of Sioux Falls.

Ella Janssen was born in Grundy County, IA July 30 1869 to Mr. and Mrs. John Janssen. She attended school near Wellsburg, IA and moved to the Lennox vicinity in 1887 living also at Hartford and Tea for many years. Her late husband BerendAkkerman and 2 infant daughters preceded her in death.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Ben Gerken of Tea and Mrs. Jennie Hilton of Sioux Falls, 5 sons George of Salem, Herman of Willow Lake, Ben of Humboldt, William of Montrose, and Mike of Hartford. 14 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. from the Lennox and Sioux Falls papers.
