Note: John Kline, of Westmoreland County, Penn., entered the northwest quarter of Section 15, on the western line of the township, journeyed to it in the fall of 1807, built a cabin and made a little clearing, then brought out his familythe following spring. He was a Lutheran. His children were Jacob, Henry, John, Philip, Daniel, Elizabeth (Snelbaker), Catherine, Eva (Flickinger), Hannah (Keller) and Margaret (Burns). Mr. Kline died on the farm; his descendants arewidely scattered. [History of Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, 1884]
