Earl attended rural school at district #18 in Big Stone County, where he had moved with his parents as a young boy.
Earl farmed the homeplace 8 miles east of Ortonville and in 1941 farmed in Lac Qui Parle Twp until the fall of 1947.
Earl moved into Ortonville and worked for the Big Stone County Highway Dept from the Fall of 1949 until Apr 1, 1977. Since retirement Earl had enjoyed woodworking and cabinet making as a hobby.
Earl was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville.
Died Nov 16, 1984 at Ortonville Municipal Hospital. Buried Mound Cemetery, Ortonville, Big Stone Co, MN.
Survived by: wife, Margaret; daughter, Ardell Jones of Wayzata, MN; sisters: Myrtle Pomerenke and Pearl Reuben both of Ortonville, MN; grandchildren: Angelique, Michael, Suzanne and Brian Oehler of Morris, MN."
