The next household after Edwin & Charity Viers is Joseph & Mary Dennis. This is slim evidence, but I am assigning Joseph & Mary as parents of Charity.

They are both buried in East Swanton Cemetery, Row 1, Scott Road just north of US 20A., Next toDavid and Lousia Dennis. In the fall of 1834, they came from Steuben County, New York State with five children and settle in Fulton County,Ohio four more children where born there. Joseph died while living with his daughter, Mrs RusselBartlett. The following articles are recopied from several newspaper clippings (not sure what newspaper) in the possession of Jack and Ann Dennis of Al on the Dennis Family reunions that were held:
REUNION OF THE DENNIS FAMILY.
The third family reunion of the (descendants) of Joseph and Mary Dennis occurred on the 26th day of Sept. 1895 at the home of Mrs. Martha Dennis in Fulton Twp., Fulton Co., 0. At an early hour the (descendants) began to arrive andcontinued to come until there was one hundred and five assembled composed of children, grand-children and great grand-children besides eight visitors, all of whom seemed to have come for the express purpose of having a good time. theforenoon was spent in visiting and ball playing until dinner was announced, when to our surprise we found a table under a canvas over 50 ft. long, loaded down with good things, good enough for Grover Cleveland, to which all did justice~Notwithstanding the table being over 50 ft. in length and 4 ft. in width it was filled the second time. dinner over, some of the older people started a game of base ball and after a few innings had been played and a number of fingersunjointed, the game was closed, the players feeling satisfied that it was more sport to look on than to play. At 3:30 p.m. the president called the company to order and after making a few appropriate remarks considering Gods(providential) care over us in preserving our lives for another year, that not one of our number had died in the past year but four had been added, two by marriage and two by birth, N.E. Dennis led in prayer after which David 0. Dennisproceeded to give some reminiscence of the early history of the family, among other things he said; that across the road from where we now were gathered (where a large flag had been planted in the early part of the day) was the placewhere his father had first settled after coming from the State of New York to Ohio in 1834, and the flag stood on the very spot the old log cabin did 61 years ago, the cabin was built of logs with one door and one small window in it.Greased paper being used in the window in the place of glass and a blanket for a door. The country at that time was a vast wilderness, the nearest neighbor living three miles away. The most comical and laughable thing of the day was asong sung by Russell Bartlett, the applause was great and loud, after a few more songs and remarks the President announced that we would proceed to the election of officers for the ensuing year. David 0. Dennis was elected Pres., RussellBartlett Vice Pres,, F.R. Crippen Secy, and Andrew Dennis Treas.
The place for the next meeting was voted to be held at the home of Russell Bartlett, Swanton, 0.on the last Thursday of Sep. 1896. All seemed to be happy and the unanimous verdict was a good time. Much credit is due to Aunt Martha Dennisand family for their unerring efforts to make things comfortable and enjoyable for the company, for which they spared neither time or expense and a vote of thanks was taken in their behalf with three rousing cheers. D.O. Dennis, F.R.Crippen, Pres. Secy
