'line 12, Thomas Cole: males 0-5 1, 5-10 1, 20-30 1; females 0-5 1, 20-30 1'
David Price Cole, b. 19 Aug 1837, the oldest known male child, would fit the 0 to 5 category. The older male, aged 5 to 10 would be unknown. Thomas & Sarah were married 16 Apr 1832. The oldest male probably was born between 1832 &before 1 Oct 1835. He would be 5 to 8 yrs old. He may have been born in Harrison/Jefferson Co., OH or in Henry/Lucas Co., OH.
Because there was a Cole family in the Jefferson Co., OH area, Thomas & Sarah might have come to Henry/Lucas Co., OH later than Peter Salsberry came.
Today, York Twp is in Fulton Co., OH

"David, I recently saw your information and others posted on World Connect/Rootsweb. My grgrgrandfather was Joseph F. Cole, but actually his name was Joseph S. B. Cole and his wife was Matilda E. Hardy ( not Griffin). Parents names arecorrect. Sometimes in old handwriting an "F" can look like an "S"??? Joseph even served in the Civil War.
I would like to exchange information on this line with you. I live in Grand Rapids, Ohio so if you live in the Northwest Ohio area, I could arrange to meet with you. Please let me hear from you soon. Judy A. Beal"

"... we have a Texas, Ohio nearby. Matter of fact, Matilda Hardy's parents are buried in Texas, Ohio. I have much the same census info, but did not have the christening records. Mary Salsberger is probaby Mary Salsbury, Sarah's sister. Joseph S. B. Cole is the same Joseph F. Cole that you have. He is buried in our family cemetery: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery located in Lucas Co. Ohio near Grand Rapids, Ohio. I have always wondered if his S. B. initials could actually be S. P.because there are lots of Simon Purdy's in that family.
How are you related to these Cole's? Joseph's son, Lewis, is my gr grandfather who married Emma Keeler. They had a daughter, Matilda Cole, who married Percy James Beal. Their son, Eugene William Beal, is my dad. ... 1870 > OHIO > LUCAS > PROVIDENCE TWP Series: M593 Roll: 1236 Page: 71 Surname GivenName Age Sex Race Birthplace State County Location Year

"Dear cousins,
Just to update everyone: I had a new tombstone and foundation installed for Joseph S. B. Cole (my great-great grandfather). The old tombstone was lifted and placed alongside on top of the new foundation. The 3 small narrow markers were inthe ground for his daughters, so they were cemented into the foundation. Also, since finding that Joseph was a Civil War veteran, I ordered a Civil War stone from the gov. and it has arrived! It is too cold to install now, so it will beplaced alongside the new foundation on its own foundation in the Spring. [note: please ignore photo name of "atlanta"] Regards, Judy Beal
