Anne and husband WIlliam Singleton were buried in Forfar while her children were buried in Portland Old Emmanuel Cemetery -- the Boltons were also buried in Forfar. Anne may have been buried here because William died and was buried here before the Old Emmanuel Cemetry was created and she was buried with him.

I am not a relative, but there are burials in the Forfar Cemetery, at Forfar, Leeds Co., Ontario, which look to be the folks you are interested in.
Ann Tyndall, wife of William Singleton, departed this life July 1, 1857 aged 90 years, a native of the Co Wexford and parish of Dunmore, Ireland.
William Singleton, a resident of the Twp of Bastard & Co. of Leeds, who departed this life June 9th, 1834, aged 55 years.

Good chance that Henry Morris Sr's wife was Ann. Document from corinne Simser-Wagg says that Henry's widow came to Canada with her children and married a Singleton. Her first name is unknown as is Singleton's.
Canadian 1851 census
Ann Singleton, 80 years, shows up on same census page as Henry Morris, his wife Elizabeth, and children. She is listed with an Ann Morris, born in Ireland, age 17. . . .Not sure who this Ann would be since she was born after the mother left for Canada with her children, and this came to Canada much later . . . Looks like they are living with Bolton family, wife of whom is Ann Bolton, 33 or 39, born in Ireland. This could be one of her husband's Singleton daughters who has married a Bolton, and the one who shows up on the grave marker near Henry and Elizabeth Morris.
Singleton - according to Corinne's research, Singleton was the second husband of wife Morris, first husband Henry Morris remained in or died in Ireland and wife and children came to Canada.

3/17/08 Talked with Corinne - The Ann buried with William Singleton in Forfar Cemetery was a Tindall, from Wexford, Ireland. Could be the maiden name of Ann who married Henry Morris, and later, William Singleton
Brockway library - has transcriptions of gravestones
117 - Singleton, Ann - Forfar Cemetery - Ann Tindall, 7/1/1857, aged 90 years, Wexford native, parish of Dunmore Ireland, born 1767?
1851 census shows Ann Singelton' age as 80 yrs, which would make her birth year as 1771. The death age shown above may not be accurate so this could be the same person
Possible grave marker of Ann with husband being William:

SINGLETON Ann Forfar Leeds Bastard L&G-83-2

Surname Given Name Cemetery County/Township Reference

I think Corrine & I determined this is not Henry's mother even though it is the right name. This Ann Singleton, based on the grave marker, is too young to be Henry Morris's wife and mother of Henry who married Elizabeth Kidd. More likely the step daughter of Ann Morris Singleton.
- Although the Henry and Ann Singleton Boltons buried here helped finance the stained glass windows of Henry and Elizabeth Morris.
_____________
From Corrine:
I now have photos of the graves of both Henry and Elizabeth and of the memorial windows with their names and the donors. I will explore the connection between Ann Singleton, Henry Bolton and the Morris family since there is clearly a connection based on the windows. Bolton was a banker so he had the funds to finance the windows.
I am guessing that Ann Singleton was the daughter of the Singleton who married Henry Sr's wife. But given Mrs. Morris's age at the time of the marriage, this Ann might be her step-daughter. Then Ann married Henry Bolton and brought him into the family . . .I can create a whole family history based on conjecture . . .And then toss it away when I find a fact that doesn't fit . . . (Corinne's analysis makes sense to me ---Heidi)

(An Aside,,,,An interesting note I found this under the same title from Forfar Cemetery: "#112 This stone hereby erected by Henry Morris in the memory of Henry Willbey who departed this life August 16, 1826 aged 23 years 6 mths 4 days." But who knows whether this is our gggfather? Just thought it interesting and curious about a story behind it.)
Then there is Singleton Ann Portland Old Emmanuel Leeds Bastard L&G-83-5-2
(this is the same cemetery that Henry & Elizabeth etc are in... along with Henry F. Bolton and his wife Ann Singleton Bolton ) however, I do not recall seeing the gravestone when I was there... or I have forgotten... or I saw it and the dates were out of our range and so didn't bother to record. The cemetery is quite small and I walked through it a number of times looking for connections. Something to look for again possibly.
In answer to your query - the Henry and Ann Singleton Bolton stone is located in front of the Henry & Elizabeth Morris' stone and Richard and Cecelia Morris stone. The Greens being right beside them all too. (Green's being my gmother Sarah Green Morris' family - your great aunt or would that be ggaunt!

I have taken you off list to check on some things with you and to save me having Valerie jumping on every email I post asking me for the source, headstones are from transcriptions I have checked over the past 20 years. Now I am not sure how to go about things with your request but as its Wexford and I do have a lot of data for that county, and , if I did not ask before I am now do these people have christian names that stayed behind
But to begin with I am updating Wexford Files and although they are not headstones they are your name
16th May 1800
Henry Tindall married Mary Britton - Church at Ferns Church of Ireland
this is from the parish register and from - Ferns Marriage licence Vol 8 - page 268
Ferns Licence for Marriage
John Tindall and Mary Rigaby and allow that could also be Ricaby 1804 - page 319 Volume 8
Now the marriage licence book holds 14 Kid or Kidd Marriages but they only show year and they begin in 1698
Earl - I will have to share with the list as there are a few listers looking for that but that will be the Wexford List - are you on that as well? If not let me know and I will post them on to you when typed up.
And I have the marriage licences for Morris and Morres and Moris. All these marriages are before 1830 will that assist you at all, I am interested in the Tyndall

Tyndalls of Carlow, Ireland
Posted by: Frank O'Donnell Date: August 13, 2000 at 11:07:34
of 411
William Tyndall is mentioned in the 1659 census as living in Duganstowne, Catherlagh (Carlow) County, Ireland, a township then of 40 people (19 English, 21 Irish), co-owned by him and a Richard Andrewes, as tituladoes.
Detailed genealogies of Tyndalls (Protestants) can be found in the Library of Trinity College, Dublin. See ms. vols. F.3,.23, F.3.27, and F.4.18. (close of 1600s)
Tyndalls came over to Ireland from Northumberland, England, where the Tindale barony was created in 1663, with the Dukedom of Monmouth; forfeited in 1685, but restored with the Earl of Doncaster in 1773. Tyndale is also featured as Barony Radclyffe (Earldom of Derwenter).
See also the "Prerogative Wills of Ireland" (1536-1810) for many entries. Recurrent first names for Tyndalls are William, David, John, Anne, Peter, Samuel, Thomas.
David Tyndall was my maternal grandfather. His family hailed from Chapelezid, Leixlip, and earlier from one John Tyndall, of Newcastle, (Ireland) who had a forge and saddlery with his brother David (mid 1800s).
