In her Diary,
Born 1794 on the family townland of Garrybritt, near Enniscorthy Wexford Ireland, the youngest daughter of 19 children, 10 of which left ireland in 1812, and after a six week voyage across the Atlantic, they ascended the St Lawrence River in Durham boats, under fire of US soldiers. They settled in the Rear of Lansdowne, which at the time was a dense forest.
