"Our Last Monthly Meeting having apointed four friends to draw up a paper of deniall against Sarah Simcock but this Meeting upon further Consideration thereof & having advised with the Brethren think more proper that t he paper of deniall be Joyntly & this Meeting apoints Mary Dell, Patience Wright & Rachell Jackson to signe the said paper with the men friends in the behalfe of this meeting." 27.9.1716 (26 Nov 1716) "Sarah Worthington's paper of condemnation read & accepted." 28.8.1717 (28 Oct 1717) From the Women's Minutes of the Chester MM, pg 148: "The the Monthly Meeting held att Providence the 20thda y of the 8th mo 1717. And to all Every Whare Whoe have or may hear of any Transgration & also to all to whom these lines may come be it known that I Sarah Worthington for want of keeping to the Spirit t of truth which would Lead into all truth & through giving way to the Spirrit of Error & the Temtations of the grate Adversary of Souls have sined against heaven & offended God & brought Reproach upo n the way of truth & threby wounded my poor soul & also greatly grieved my tender parents Relations & friends to whit by keeping Company without the Leave of my parents & Suffering myself to be shamef ully difilled by Samuel Worthington before we were marryed by Reason whereof we were forced to goe from that Decent & good order practised amongst our friends to be Marryed for which Transgration & Si n I doe take the shame & Reproach to my self being not worthy to be numbered amongst friends who are lovers and walkers in the Blessed truth & also doe therefore acknowledge this day my being denyed b y friends is alltogeather my Desert yet dear friends I may lett you know that I have been deeply afflicted & have had many Solitary days & hours wharein I have mourned for my sins for which my humbell prayers is to our Mercyfull God that he may be Gratiously pleased to pardon my sins & transgrations & also doe Intreat of all my friends to pass by what is by past & that you would be pleased to put up your prayers to the Almighty God that I may be Restored again & Come into favour with him & into unity with you his people hoping that by the asistance of the holy Spirritt to be carefulof my ways words & actions while it may please God to aford me time hear on this side the Grave - is Conclude these lines in Mourning because of that gilt that is upon me for what is above said.
