Said to possess great physical strength. Much of the early information about John Barnett a nd his descendents was obtained of her, by Allen Barnett, son of Wilson Barnett, son of Thomas Barnett. Moved to OH at 17 yrs. of age. Died at the home of her dtr. (with whom she and her hsbd. had liv ed many yrs). Noted as a successful midwife and believed it her duty to do so. She continued to practice until she was over 80 yrs. old, having had near 1000 cases. A strong, vigorous, modest Christia n, in whom the commty., in which she lived, and practicing physicians had great confidence. Her mother, Jane Hutchins Barnett, died in IN at 85 yrs. old, and her Grandmother, Elizabeth Hutchins, died at age 114 yrs. She remembered her grandfather, John Barnett.
