Johns parents were of hardy stock & along with other families soon changed a wilderness into a growing community. They were a forward looking people & education was important to them. The men hunted & kept the hides to sell at a later time & buy books for a library.mp; raised a large family that included 12 children. The last three are girls. i know Charlotte was married & i think the town where she was buried was Belpre, Ohio, in Washington County. Charlotte's years were 1842 - 1878. I have very little information on Sarah E. b. 1845 & the youngest Mary J. b. 1847. Mary J. Was found only on the 1860 census, not on the 1850 census as she should have been.
