H of the 136th Regiment, PA Volunteers. Seriously injured at Fredericksburg, he was removed to Washington and then to his own home by his brother, where he finally recovered. He then went into the business of producing and refining oil before himself turning oil broker. In time their careers took the various Dilworth boys from the Mount to parts unknown. However, at least a few of them remained in Pittsburgh, in whose Allegheny Cemetery we today can find their mortal remains while Mt. Washington's Dilworth Street commemorates this most industrious and energetic of families.
