LifeSketch: This Duncan is noted in the 1851 Census as "In bad health for several years". It is assumed his health was so bad from early years that Dugald had a second son baptised 5 Sep 1839 at Kilmallie called Duncan as seen in the 1841 and 1851 Census living in Camaghail. The family migrated to Australia in 1853 noted as a "strong healthy family" presuming Duncan born 1830 had died or was left behind. Due to the condition of "bad health" to have named a second son of the same name it can be reasonably assumed that this Duncan was never able to marry or have children.
