The Hood-Creeswere really the Crees, a lady who was known to them called Hood asked them to take on her name as she had no children to carry on her family name.
The Hood-Crees were well-known hairdressers in Kent with salons in Folkestone, Walmer and Hythe. They also had a branch in Bond Street, London. Robert was chairman of the Federation of Hairdressers and was also Hairdresser by Appointment to the Royal Court of Orange at the Hague.
