Ship's name for the Atlantic crossing was the "Idaho", a steamer, arrived in New York March 28, 1872. He crossed with his wife and 3 children in steerage. His reason for emigrating is "economic improvement". His death certificate says he is the "father of 10 children whom 6 are living". The Idaho manifest says it departed from Liverpool and Queenstown.[morevandyke2ar.FTW]
