Joseph Lynn Behrman, 69, of Seymour passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, at his home. Born Oct. 1, 1948, in Columbus, he was the son of Elmer and Martha Olmstead Behrman. After high school, Joe joined the U.S. Army, where he served for six years. After service, Joe worked at Pantasote, and after leaving there, he retired from Seymour Tubing after 23 years of service. Joe enjoyed watching sports, especially Indiana University basketball. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and classics like Andy Griffith. Survivors include his son, Chris (Julie) Behrman of Seymour; his daughter, Becky (Eric) Olson; and his grandchildren, Eli Leonard, Ella Andres, Emma Andres, Kole Andres and Liam Olson. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Behrman. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 23 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. After the service, Joe will be taken to Madison, where he will be laid to rest at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
