Died of meningitis? whooping cough?
The funeral of the late Margaret Joan Hadley, the three-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Les. Hadley who passed- away at the Spencer Hospital on Sunday, took place yesterday afternoon, the interment being at the new cemetery. The chief mourner was the father. The service at the graveside was conducted by Rev. J W. Bethune, rector of St. Stephen's Church. The casket bearers were four boys, Reg Poke, Earl Davis, Gordon Hart and Boy Herbert. They were assisted at the graveside by Messrs. W Pennell, W. Cunningham, J. Viney and B. Hartley, representing the railway and I.O.O.F. Lodge. Among the many floral tributes was a wreath from the traffic and loco staffs at the railway station.
