James Alonzo Irvine, passed away June 9, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born November 28, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Stanley Ray and Ethel Hinckley Irvine. Married Marilyn Olson on Sept. 16, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Served in the Air National Guard and the Reserved of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Served 2 1/2 years in Germany on LDS mission. Graduated Utah State University - B.S. Degree and Teaching Certificate. Successful high school teacher.
Preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Shellie Rae I. Allen, November 2, 1994.
Survived by wife, Marilyn Olson Irvine; children, Donna, Teresa, James Alonzo Jr. (wife, Rueetta) and Lincoln Hanks Irvine; grandchildren, Crystal, Steven, Johnny, Sharay Allen, Alonzo Scott and Sabrina Irvine; great-grandchild, Daniel Allen; mother, Ethel Hinckley Irvine; brother, Stanley Ray Irvine, Jr.; sisters, Gerry Morreall, Mary Hall. Preceded in death by father, Stanley Ray Irvine.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13, 1998 at 12:00 Noon at the Douglas Ward, 721 South 1200 East. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward Saturday one hour prior to services.
Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
