Lee-Boon Wedding
The wedding of Audrey Mavis Boon,
youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard Boon, Perth, and Thomas Lou
vain Lee, second son of Mrs. Lee,
Longford, and the late Mr. George Lee,
took place at the Paterson-street
Methodist Church last Saturday even
ing. Rev. Norman Lade performed the
ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by
her father, chose a beautiful frock of
ivory figured satin. The bodice showed
wrist-length sleeves, and the full skirt
formed a long train. She wore a sprig
of orange blossom at the V neckline,
and a halo of orange blossoms held
her embroidered tulle veil. She car
ried a shower bouquet of white and
pink roses.
Mrs. R. Mayne attended -her sister
as matron of honour, and Miss Thelma
Holder was bridesmaid. They wore
powder-blue taffeta frocks with puff
sleeves and heart-shaped necklines.
Their waist-length blue net veils were
mounted with blue and pink flowers
and they wore mittens to match their
frocks. Each carried a bouquet of pink
rosebuds.
Norma Lyons and Janice Eaton were
train and cushion bearers. They wore
shell pink satin frocks. The neckline
and full skirts were edged with pleated
tulle. Pink rosebuds were worn in
their hair. The white satin cushion
was lent by Mrs. G. Dabner.
Mr. T. Trevena was best man and
Mr. Bevan Anderson groomsman.
During the signing of the register
Mrs. G. Dabner sang "'ll Walk Beside
You."
The reception was held at the
Lounge. The bride's mother wore a
smart black ensemble, trimmed with
white, and a hat to match. Her shoul
der spray was of orchids.
As the bride left the church a satin
horseshoe was placed on her arm by
Kathleen Trevena.
The bride travelled in a brown suit,
brown hat and matching accessories.
The honeymoon is being spent on the
North-West Coast.
