WEDDING
TUNKS-WILLIAMS
The marriage was celebrated on Sat
urday night at the Chant-street Metho
dist Church, by Rev. A. R. Medson, of
Elvie, elder daughteir of Mrs. and the
late Mr. W. J. Williams, Malabar-street,
Launceston, to Louis, second son of Mr.
F. W. Tunks, Glengarry. The bride,
who was given away by an old friend,
Mr. HI. Corlett, wore a white lace frock
over taffeta, cut on slim lines, with a
V neck front and wrist-length sleeves.
The tulle veil was held in place with a
coronet of orange blossom. H?er bou
quet was of carnations, mandevilla,
gladioli and fern. The bride was at
tended by her sister, Averonia, who
wore a blue taffeta frock, cut with a
full skirt and heartshaped neckline and.
a shoulder-length veil of blue tulle held
with a topknot of pink gladioli. The
bridegroom's brother, Mr. N. Tunks, was
best man. Mrs. N. Swinton was at. the
organ. The bride knelt on a satin
cushion placed by Miss.Muriel Burk.
A reception was held at the Lounge.
I The cake was made and given by the
bride's mother, and was decorated by
Miss G. Conley. The bride cut the cake
with a bayonet brought back from the
South African War. The bride's mother
wore a navy frock trimmed with blue
buttons and navy straw hat. Mrs..W.
Richmond, the bridegroom's aunt, as
sisted to entertain the guests. She wore
a black costume and a black hat.
When the bride left for the honey
moon she wore a blue silk linen frock
and a light grey coat and white acces
sories.

TUNKS, Elvie Sophia - Passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Thank you Nan for all you ever did for all of us. Although you have gone, your footprints remain as you walk along side all of us.
