Mendel Scheinkin arrived Oct 17 1911 together with his cousin Ben on the ship Birma.
I think they are cousins. You'd expect Scheinkin folks traveling together at almost the same age to be brothers or cousins. Ben's father was Leiser. Mendel's father was Abraham. Hence I think cousins. Also in the manifest they do not appear together.
Mendel Scheinkin was 17 years old, occupation clerk (not tailor like the sons of Leiser). His last residence was Neshin, Russia. His father is Abram Scheinkin in Neshin, Czernig. His final destination is Brooklyn, NY.
He purchased his own ticket and he is joining his aunt Beila Lefant,
Bristol Street 52, Brooklyn, NY.
So this Beila, whose last name has two versions (Scheifank by Ben, Lefant by Mendel), is an aunt for both of them, who are cousins. This could make her sister of Leiser and Abram, and no longer Scheinkin due to marriage.
5 feet 5 inches, light complexion, dark hair and dark eyes.
Interesting: he was born in Schakowo, Russia, not Nezin.
Could be the small village now in Poland called Sękowo.

I was unable to find more information about him. He probably changed his last name to something else, which I couldn't find.
