Thomas LaRoche was in the shipping business with Daniel. He is listed as a Justice of the Peace for Craven County in 1737. He is also listed in that same year as co-owner with Daniel of five lots in Georgetown and sole owner of one lot (#146) on Duke St. Daniel held the lot next door (#145).
At some point in time Thomas moved from Georgetown to Georgia where he was listed as a councilman for the new colony (Hirsch, 45). He also owned and leased out considerable property in Charleston.
Thomas' marriage is inferred from his will in which he refers to his "mother-in-law." During this time period, however, this term could be used to refer to a step-mother, which is a definite possibility in Thomas' situation.
