Job Howe married 1st Martha Jones, 2nd Elizabeth Watters and third and lady named Jane. Job Howe attained legal age in 1731 and received 800 acres on Goose Creek from his father’s estate. The children of Job Howe were:
Robert Howe, Major General b. 1732

Note: The North Carolina family dropped the “s” from Howes and after that the name appears as Howe and How.
It is believed the only two children of Job and his first wife Martha Jones were Robert and Job Jr. Job Howe Sr. had taken up a tract of land on New Topsail Sound, on the coast northeast of the future town of Wilmington, North Carolina. This plantation was known as Howe’s Point. Martha Jones was the daughter of North Carolina chief justice Frederick Jones of Chowan County. Frederick Jones was the son of Frederick and Sarah (Harding) Jones. Sarah Harding was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Harding of Middlesex, England. The Harding family was also in Barbados before Michael’s parish in Barbados. Frederick Jones I was the son of Captain Roger and Dorothy (Walker) Jones of Nottingham, England. Capt. Roger Jones was the son of Thomas and Ellen (Hoskins) Jones. Much has been written about Capt. Roger Jones.
