In 1830, Jacine Frizzell is on census living with a woman born between 1750-1760.In 1840, shows him living with a woman born between 1770-1780. In 1850 census, a BARBARA FRIZZEL, born about 1772, is living with Jacine Frizzel Jr., son of Jacine Frizzel Sr., in Fairfield Co., Ohio. Jacine Frizzel Sr. born 1740-1750 is not found on 1850 census.
Page 20 of book about FRIZZELL family mostly in Massachusetts, author says:"A. H. Frizell, of Paint Rock, Concho Co., Texas, who writes that his ancestor was JOHN FRIZELL, Gentleman, who came to where Baltimore is now situated, in 1660, having had to leave Scotland with Lord Baltimore and others for espousing the cause of Charles II, in his attempt to regain the British Crown."www.genealogy.com chat room says:"My uncle traces the origins of FRIZZLE back to a province in the Netherlands called Friesland. It may have been transplanted to Ireland-Scotland during the Norman invasion, and of course it's migration south into France would be natural.FRIZZELL and FRASER mean the same clan in Scotland.Clan Fraser history website says: It appears the Fraser/Frizells supported and fought with William Wallace (Braveheart). A poet of the time referred to them as FIRZELL, not FRASER.In America, the name might have been changed due to some of the Frasers siding on both sides of the Independence and one side was being hunted down and killed to the point where the names had to be changed to protect their livelihoods. Some of the Frasers may have changed their names back to Frizzell to avoid being captured. Frizzell was first then it became Fraser, not the other way around. The Frizzells one writer knows of had settled in Baltimore, Maryland, before the American Revolutionary War. They were kicked out of Maryland by Lord Baltimore because they were protestant. They then came to Ohio."
