Ann Dupont Buyck (1768-1854), daughter of Josiah Dupont and Anne Goodbee Dupont. Ann Dupont married Augustine Buyck in the Roman Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Florida in 1800. She returned from Florida to South Carolina. She and Augustine Buyck lived near the Congaree River below Columbia, South Carolina. Augustine and Ann had three children, Peter Augustus Buyck, Eliza Ann Buyck and Edward Leo Buyck. Eliza Ann married Samuel Spigener. Both Eliza Ann and Samuel Spigener and Edward Leo Buyck and wife, Margaret Frances Hoffman, moved to Alabama near Wetumpka. Ann Dupont Buyck, who was a widow by then, moved with her daughter, Eliza Ann and husband, Samuel Spigener, to Alabama. The following is written on her tombstone: Sacred to the memory of Mrs. Ann Buyck, who departed this life on the 22nd of Dec. 1854: in the eighty sixth year of her life. She was a decendant of The Huguenot Family, and a native of South Carolina. She was an acceptable member of the M. E. Church for 22 years. She is not dead, but sleepeth.
