Notities over Lydia Johnson

Daniel Huger was married to my third wife, Mrs. Lydia Johnson, daughter of Mr. Robert Johnson, merchant of New England and Mary Johnson, her mother of said province in December the 4th , 1747.

August 31st 1748, after several months in a languishing condition, my dear wife Lydia was delivered of a son, but died four hours after being born, and it hath pleased God to call her from this world the fifth day following, being the fourth September. She was endowed with the abundant knowledge of our dear Lord Jesus Christ and delivered herself to his gracious will, and called on the Lord to receive her precious soul, in the hoped to enjoy that blessed eternity. She is buried next to my second wife in my said orchard.
