Isaac and his father-in-law, Pierre Couillandeau, Jr., were among the founders of the now extinct town of Jamestown, S.C. which was laid out in 1705/06. The railway station near the historic spot was, in 1917, renamed Jamestown, in honor of these Huguenot pioneer settlers. Isaac purchased lot #12 in 1705 in Jamestown; Pierre Lots 28 and 33. Isaac owned about 2,370 acres in Berkeley County S.C. Isaac and Suzanne were naturalized in 1689, as were Pierre and Marie Couillandeau.
