His wife and children can be found on the Hunter Lists Jun/1710-Sep/1714. On arrival in America the family first settled in the Scoharie Valley, NY near Albany. Hans Georg had died at sea on the way to America on the Ship MIDFORT which landed NYC 13/Jun/1710. He is listed on Simmendiger Register 1717 in Neu Stuttgart, NY.

[big tree.FBK.FTW] Hans Jorg Riedt was a miller at Steinwenden in 1693. Their journey began in Germany where they traveled the Rhine River from their homeland to Rotterdam, Holland, where 4000 Palatinate Germans sailed to London. He and his family sailed from Walworth, England on December 24, 1709 aboard the ship "Midfort". He died at sea enroute to America. His family landed in New York on June 13 1710.
