NANCY LOU KITTRELLNancy Lou Kittrell, 71, of Wilmington, entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father after losing her courageous battle to cancer on August 26, 2010. Nancy was born in Greene County, North Carolina to the late Ben William and Ruby Nethercutt. She was a long time employee of Ruth's Kitchen and was known for her delicious cooking.Nancy leaves behind three children, Teresa Johnson of Sneads Ferry, William Bryant of Wilmington and Kay Baker of Wilmington. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren, Angela Jackson of Rocky Point, Beth Cumber of Lexington, SC, Ryan Bryant of Wilmington and Jessica Humphrey of Sneads Ferry. Nancy is also survived by her three sisters, Ruby Haddock, Virginia Scearce, and Jane Riddle all of Williamston, NC. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and she will always be remembered as the favorite "Aunt Nancy".Nancy, also known as "Nanny", was a doting great-grandmother to nine. She loved and adored her family and was the glue that held the family together. She will be forever remembered for the compassion and love she bestowed upon everyone she met.Nancy will be remembered for her witty sense of humor. She could bring a smile to a person's face even on the worst day. She lived her life to the fullest and made the best of every day. She made sure she let her family know just how much she loved them.A celebration of her wonderful life will be arranged by the family at a later date.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401, who showed the utmost compassion throughout her courageous battle.She will truly be missed and loved but not forgotten.
