KITTRELL, CHARLES M., Oakdale, passed away June 27, 2001 in his home. He was a veteran of WW II. He was preceded in death by his son Larry Martin Kittrell; parents, Fred and Halcie Kittrell and brother Louis Kittrell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Karen Kittrell of Oakdale; daughter and son-in-law Kim and Michael Ogilvie of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandsons, Chris and wife Tami of Knoxville, Jason and wife Robin of Oakdale and Josh, also of Oakdale; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sydney, Madeline and Darren; two brothers, Merle Kittrell of Dallas, Texas and Maurice Kittrell of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. KITTRELL, MR. CHARLES M. - of Oakdale, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at his home. He was an active member of the Piney Baptist Church and had served as a deacon for 7 years. He served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity for Morgan and Scott Counties, and was a member of the Gideon Foundation. He was a Veteran of World War II and was widely known and appreciated for his civic and community service. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Martin Kittrell; parents, Fred and Halcie Kittrell, and brother, Louis Kittrell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Karen Kittrell of Oakdale; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Michael Ogilvie of Sarasota, Florida; three grandsons, Chris and wife Tami of Knoxville, Jason and wife Robin of Oakdale, and Josh, of Oakdale; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sydney, Madeline and Darren; two brothers, Merle Kittrell of Dallas, Texas, and Maurice Kittrell of Kingston, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, June 29, 2001, from 6-8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will begin at 8 p.m. with Rev. Bill Young and Bro. David Acres officiating. Graveside services will be held in Piney Cemetery on Saturday 11 a.m. with Full Military Honors. The family requests, memorials be made to one of the following organizations: Gideon Bible Foundation, Piney Church Building Fund, Habitat for Humanity, or Hospice of Cumberland County.
