She spent her early years in American Fork Utah. In her youth, she enjoyed camping outings with her family, running in races and sewing with her sisters and her mother. She became a very fine Seamstress and cook. In 1904, the family moved to Taylor Idaho for a short time. Then, in her mid teens, Olive's the family moved to Salt Lake City. She worked for her father as an assistant baker for his "Hot Scotch Pie" restaurants. Olive married Fredrick Wiseman in the Salt Lake Temple 27 November 1907. The 1930's brought hard times to everyone; Fred & Olive had to sell their farm and move to a small home on Vine Street In Murray Utah, across from the north entrance of Murray Park. Fred went to work for the WPA Government. Olive loved gardening and she took advantage of a very small gardening plot. Olive and Fred taught their children to work hard and play hard. While some of the children were still young, two of Olive and Fred's granddaughters came to live with them. The small house had two bedrooms: one bedroom Olive and Fred shared, the other bedroom was always crowded with children and grandchildren. The room was a dormitory set up and there were often several children in a single bed. Generally in the summer, the boys slept on the porch and in the back yard. Fred was a diabetic most of his later years. He died of pneumonia 21 March 1952. Olive survived Fred but suffered from rheumatoid arthritis which had also disabled her father. On Christmas day of 1960, she spend a lovely day with her daughter Marjorie's family. The next day she passed away from a sudden heart attack. She was buried in the Murray City Cemetery next to her husband Fred. Olive and Fried had 10 children and were also raising grandchildren from time to time.
